Why we block all e-mails from @yahoo.com

In November, 2003, we received an extremely abrasive e-mail from someone who was using a throw away yahoo.com e-mail address.  He/she sent the nasty e-mail to us, then apparently deleted the throw-away e-mail address that was used to send it.  The throw-away e-mail service Yahoo has is different than their regular e-mail accounts.  Unfortunately, Yahoo's regular e-mail addresses and these throw-away addresses utilize the same @yahoo.com domain name in the e-mail addresses.  We were able to determine the offending person's unique IP address and reported them to their ISP and to Yahoo.  However, until Yahoo makes it possible to block only the throw-away addresses, we will unfortunately have to block all yahoo.com e-mail to prevent these kinds of abuses.  We have had similar problems with people creating temporary @hotmail.com accounts so those have been blocked too. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
