Response to the report about the
Answers in Genesis Creation Museum
that aired on Anderson Coopers 360 program
on CNN on April 4, 2007
Answers in Genesis will soon be opening their Creation Museum in June 2007. The predictable secular media assault against the truths this museum presents to its visitors has begun in earnest. Some reports have done a better job than others in how fair the information was presented. As with any media report, what didn't make it into the report because of editing can often be much more revealing than what was actually aired. Such was the case with this report. As time permits, this particular page will be updated with more information. But for now, we present the following links in response.
Answers in Genesis response to the report Media March on the Museum continues
One of the guests on the program, Robert Boston of the Americans United for Separation of Church and State, kept trying to make a big issue out of the fact that young earth creationists believe the earth is less than 10,000 years old (he wrongly claimed science has refuted it). This link provides access to other links that explain why there are solid Biblical and scientific evidences to believe that the earth is indeed less than 10,000 years old.
He also tried to make the point that our belief that humans and dinosaurs co-existed is not supported by science.
He also complained that scientists who believe in a young earth don't publish in scientific journals. They do managed to get published once in awhile, but there is such a strong bias against anything that could refute the religion of evolution that it's nearly impossible.
It is also important to keep in mind that the media for the most part is very liberal and hostile to the creation position and the Bible in general. In spite of how they sometimes try to pretend they're doing a fair and balanced report, that is rarely the case.
