on the 2nd draft of the proposed new Ohio
Department of Education (ODE) Science Standards
Last updated April 1, 2002
On April 1, 2002, the Ohio State Board of Education released the second draft of the new Science standards. We were told by a local reporter that no changes were made from the first draft that would allow opposing scientific arguments to evolution to be included. We are still in the process of reviewing the new draft and comparing it to the old, so we can't confirm this ourselves yet. If it is true, it means that Ohio is still headed in the direction of continued censorship and stifling of academic freedom. The big losers will be Ohio's students. Watch this link for updates after we've had a chance to review the new standards. Current
